Could you lose weight on a fruit diet ? The answer is yes you can lose weight on a fruit diet. I would not suggest going on a fruit diet as a permanent choice. Rather you can use fruit diets as a way of fasting to clean out your system. There are different fasting periods you can use. The 1 day fruit diet is the easiest and of course does the least to help your body out. Then you could do a 5 day fruit diet which will help you out immensely. The most powerful fruit diet would be a 10 day fruit diet, which I would not recommend unless you have already done the other two fasting periods.


There are many benefits of going on a fruit diet. Fruits help get rid of the toxins in your body. Fruits help your bowels get rid of excess waste. Normally when people cannot get rid of the excess weight around their stomach that is a result of waste build up. Going on a fruit diet will help your bowels get rid of this excess waste. Going on a fruit diet will also give you a spark of energy because it is not one of those heavy foods which weighs you down. Have you ever noticed that after some meals you are exhausted? That is because you were most likely eating heavy foods which tend to make you lazy. You will feel a lot more energy and most likely have a more uplifting attitude when on your fruit diet.


When on your fruit diet you should have 4 to 5 fruit meals a day. Fruit processes faster then normal food, so you are more likely to feel hungry throughout the day. It would be wise to carry water and an apple with you at all times. If you follow the diet you can expect to lose 3 to 6 lbs per every 4 days while on this diet.


Next this diet is only best to clean out your system and shed some weight for the summer. Do not stick to a fruit diet on a permanent basis. Binge eating is very common when people go to an extreme with a fruit diet.
